Personally, I'm a heavy, rabid, believer in Red Line Oil. If I wasn't, Mobil 1 would be my second choice. Also same belief in Tufoil. www.tufoil.com

That being said. I talked to both of the above before I even had my GT. Redline says that I should use the 5w-20 even though I told them I loved 20w-50. The reason being a heavier weight oil would mess up the firing and valve train. That's all I know, just that the weight of the oil can affect the valve systems. They said not to run the Redline untill near 3k miles. I changed at 4.6k miles. They have 5w-20. On Tufoil, an additive, they said to wait till 5k but a 10% mix would be good in the 5 spd trans. Done. The machinest that built my custom engine in my last car said that Tufoil was good stuff. He is correct, 128k on a hopped up, hard driven, BMW 4 Cyl, some 14 sets of performance tires, and the engine sings like a turbine and uses little oil.

250+k miles on regular valvoline oil, motor as sound as day one. Why spend double and triple the money is beyond me.
whats blows my mind even more is that I probly will with the stang, lol. I dont pay for my oil, so I guess ill put in the good stuff

I bought a case of the Mobil 1 5w-20 and the K&N filter today and was given a free enclosed oil pan, so the oil change will happen tomorrow. I also ordered the e-H2o pump and will be ordering the billet throttle body tomorrow.

That should keep my modding mood at bay; well, a dyno with tuning still to come next week, but otherwise...

Does anyone else think there is not enough money in the world (for them)? I do.
