I vote down wanting to sound like a 2V running flowmasters. It sounds very good, but they all sound exactly alike.

OP, have you considered Bassani Race axle backs with catted X?

I have this setup and it's one of the most unique sounds for a Mustang. Sounds WAY better than the 1.8 million or so 2V with flowmasters. And it sounds mean as hell. Think muffler delete but very slightly higher in tone and way smoother. Like 99% of aftermarket setups, it does have drone around certain RPMs but it's a Mustang with a V8.

Also Bassani fit and quality is hands down second to none. I'll take it over the extremely overpriced Corsas any day.

i'll try to find a sound clip tomorrow. I am gonna go to bed now. I have a class in 6 and a half hours. I just finished 2 lab reports, and prior to that I was fishing an allen wrench out of my engine bay for about 3 hours. lol.

I'm a newbie.

Can someone explain the terms of 2v, 3v, 4v? I know they are cams, but i didn't dig up anything useful through goggle when searching those terms.

Not cams.

There are two possible answers, and they are quite different. Depends on where you ask.

Here in this S197 forum it refers to the number of valves per cylinder (# of intake valves + # of exhaust valves).

Over in the Classic section it would refer to the number of venturis (the "V", aka "barrels") present in the carburetor. Yes, there was such a thing as a 3V carb (Holley).
