Yep, 4.10:1 rear gears on a TR3650 will deco hurt your mpg. Many say going to the deeper rear gears will only kill mpg by a few mpg's, but if you are getting 22 mpg to begin with and you will drop to 19 mpg and if you are heavy footed you birthed drop another 2 to 17 mpg!

One way to mitigate the mpg loss for deeper rear gears is get a much shallower OD. The stock 3650 OD is only .68:1, maybe .62:1 from a Chevy 3650. But if it is possible to order a .50:1 OD gear set from Tremec, you can drop your 3650 out, open it up, and replace the original .68:1 gear set

Gas is only going to get more expensive.

Drive it like you stole it while you still can !

I had to return my car back to stock a few weeks ago and went for a 350km cruise with a few friends. We usually drive hard and i got this :

Stock tune = 24 mpg.

When i was running a 93 perf tune from BAMA i was getting 16 mpg.

Night and day difference.

I have brenspeed tunes and when i had them install 410's I had tire roasting abilities and still got 24mpg to atlanta and back to indianapolis. This was also hand calculated and not by the computer on the car which is faulty by up to 4mpg. I just recently drove from Myrtle Beach to Indianapolis with my setup currently and got 21mpg and the computer on board said 16. I would definetly say your mpg should be a bit better but if your constantly in it then maybe not

with my auto and 4.10 gears in my '07 I was getting about 19 in town and 22 on the highway, not getting into the throttle much. light acceleration. before the gears i was getting 15 in town and 25 hwy. oh most of that highway driving is at 70-75mph.

Something doesn’t sound copasetic here? You sure you provided the right info to BAMA?

With that kind of mileage you have got to be running way rich.
