Default Definitely changing my tune...

I got 3 new tunes from Bama.. yeah they work and they do their job but holy ****, I lost MPG like a boss.

I could not get it to go over 20 mpg. I know this was expected and I did gain power and performance. I actually got the back end to kick out on me in second. Running the 4.10 Axle gear ratio for a DD is a terrible idea but for track day at the Nurburgring is absolutely genius. I actually noticed a difference in the sound too. My exhaust sounds a lot deeper like its supposed to. I'll get some videos up before the retune.

I plan on going 89 octane tune with 3.73 AGR.

My gas mileage went up w/new tunes, even the 93 tune! I'm getting 27+ mpg on the highway. I too have noticed more exhaust noise- not sure why either.

No way am I going downwards. 4.10 is awesome to me for my DD. 3.73 does make a better compromise for most I think though.

Ayup, no kidding. My 08 Bullitt is only lightly modded- Steeda exhaust, 104mm UPR CAI, tunes for 87 & 93, UDP's- nothing else. When I cruise @ 75mph, my computer is registering 27+ mpg. If I slow to 65, it goes up past 28 mpg.

What is an AGR?

Axle Gear Ratio, that's impressive. I'll have to try it myself. Is that running the 87 tune or 93 or both?

I'm all stock except for an axle back, but I can get 29.5 on my way up to WI in my GT if I baby it. I thought that was pretty impressive. Can't wait for my tunes and 3.73's next year

08/09 Bullitts come stock w/3.73 gears.

I know lots of guys on the IMBOC site w/far more power mods than me & they swear their Bullitt's gas mileage exceeds mine.

Paul Meister @ TORQspeedlab (Miramar, FL) swears his tunes will not only increase power but also improve gas mileage. And Jeff Balaban @ Nitrostang Racing (Margate, FL) swears a drop to 4.10's would increase it even further.

Mind ya, my tunes currently do not meet my performance expectations and no, they were not built by Torq or Nitrostang. They were canned tunes that came w/the SCT. In spite of that, these tunes DID increase my car's mileage rate.

Garbage with 93 Bama Race tune. 16-18mpg. But I do not baby my car. I drive it like I stole it quite often.
