Well if your set on going to a shop for a dyno tune than I would go to Tillman and just use a BAP. With a dyno tune and a BAP your right where you'd be money wise purchasing GT pumps which you really don't need. They're overkill. I understand you want the peace of mind from a dyno tune. Tillman should do you well. Let us know how it turns out.

Don't you all think that Ford would have used a boost-a-pump if it was just as reliable? Of course they would, more money in their pockets. Whipple > Kenne bell as far as completeness of their supercharger kits and believing a word they say, imo of course. So just because kenne bell doesn't supply a dual fuel pump system, doesn't mean dookie. They didn't used to supply spark plugs.

The gt500 pump install is not that hard, just follow the directions.

Well if BAPs are such a bad thing I'd like to hear some failure numbers. Funny how Brenspeed which is one of the best out there has been using these for years on their Vortech and Paxton installs and doesn't have issues. If they were such a liability I seriously doubt Brenspeed would risk their reputation. I don't recall of hearing people on the forums claiming how their BAP failed or stock pump failed due to a BAP.

Another, "fear the monster hiding in the closet that ain't really there" syndrome.

Brenspeed used to run their base Paxtons with just the stock pump, doesn't mean it was ideal and the fact they now include a boostapump just shows they aren't god. If you look hard enough, you'll find running issues related to boostapumps. I don't care enough to look them up, I just buy what's proven to work the best.

If people can't afford $635 for the gt500 pumps, then maybe they shouldn't be driving this car and buying a blower. Buy a nice Ford fiesta and be happy. People buying things they can't really afford is why this country is so F'd up.

Yeah we know what works best and yeah we agree its the gt500 pumps that are better and trust me I can afford them but after blowing all this money for a supercharger, email tune, plugs, 2 dynos at $150 each, and now a dyno tune + a bap I think I spend enough god damn money dont you think? I have NEVER heard of an issue with a bap and VMP tuning uses the boost a pumps on all their applications. I honestly dont even need the boost a pump since I am not maxing out my fuel system (says vmp and JDM) but I am getting it for peace of mind so no matter what I always have the extra fuel if I needed it.

Timmbo I mad the decision last night and am following your word and getting the bap and going with tillman speed or evolution performance.

Well I'm glad you found a solution that works for you. Peace of mind is where it's at. I don't remember if you had one but a good AFR gauge is a must. Keeping your eye on that and pulling a spark plug or two every so often will tell you everything you need to know about what's going on in your motor. I use a twin AeroForce gauge set so I monitor fuel pressure, fuel pump duty cycle, AFR and intake temp.

Looking forward to hearing your new dyno results. Like I said.....next will be cams lol! Have fun!
