93 Octane Race tune..
Got my SCT/X3 from AM today,
put some 93 octane in her (of course stupid nebraska has to put 10% ethanol in it.), and loaded up the Race tune.
Took her out on the interstate and floored it. Watched my needle run it's way up, but when it got in the 80-90 rang, I noticed my RPMs were in the red, and making their way over. I waited a bit more to see if I'd get a gear change in there, but alas, nothing. So I let off the gas so I wouldn't blow something.
I've heard people talking about RPM limiters. Is this something I should add to my tune? Should there have been a gear change in there somewhere? Whaaa help.
Off topic, tried out the 93 Race, and the 93 performance. LOVE the race tune. <3333, chirps on shifting, throttle is much more responsive, and it shaved 2-3 seconds off my 0-60.

Maybe they thought you had a different ratio.
If not something still is wrong with the tune.
I would contact whoever you bought the tune from... ask them what gear ratio your tune is programmed for, and if it's correct tell them
your problems and have them make you a new tune. If it's wrong...you can change it with your tuner.
OH P.S. Check this first!
Just because you set the gear ratio to "stock" on your tuner, or it is set to "stock" does NOT mean it loads the correct stock ratio for your car.
You need to go in and MANUALLY select what gear ratio you have. I actually ran into this problem when I had my first tune and handheld tuner.
My MPH was off due to the gear ratio being wrong. I put it to "stock" and though it did not show what gear ratio it was... it did not fix the problem so
I knew it was wrong. I went to the manual selection... selected 4.10 which was my ratio, and PRESTO! It was fixed!
Look up your stock gear ratio (different mustangs WILL have different stock ratios), then like I said manually select your ratio with the menu on the
handheld tuner.

For what its worth-
I had an issue with the tunes AM sent me. I called em up and they sent me the right ones within 10 minutes. I had them in the car in 20.
Bottom line, AM/ Bama customer service is top notch. Theyll help you out.
BTW, Race tune FTW. The street tune was a dialed back race tune, the performance tune had alot of torque but it felt sloppy whereas the race tune makes the V6 feel light.
