"Luggage Compartment Lid Latch with mechanical interior release handle Trim Panel" - is what Ford's Workshop manuals call it. lol

and no part # (like somebody stated above, its on the inside of it) or run to the parts department at the dealership, have them look it up and give you the part number and a cost estimate..

per a TSB about the solenoid - the complete latch # is 6R3Z-6343200-B Lock Assembly (2006-2007 Mustang) which I confirmed with the workshop manuals..

I'd goop it back together.. good luck

I really like how the 2010+ place there light lamp in the trunk of the car. That was very smart.

Sorry I haven't had time to goop it yet, busy with high school :P Don't plan on buying a new one, if Gorilla Glue doesn't work, I'll just let it fall off. Besides, I don't want my hostages escaping

Hi mystangisblack,

If you decide to replace it, I agree with MeanStang08 on visiting your dealer's parts department for and estimate. You might also want to take a look at FordParts.com. By the way, I'm kinda jealous of your sweet ride, for being in high school! I had an Escort ZX2. She was much loved, but definitely NOT a 'stang!

P.S. Be kind to your hostages!
