Default Pulley clutch

My alternator just craped out. I got a new one with a standard pulley on it. The OEM has a clutch pulley, and it is a little bigger. Do I really need the clutch. I've read that the belt will chirp without it? Anyone have any info for me?

If the oem came with a clutch pulley you should always use a clutch pulley. A solid pulley will work but it will hurt your tensioners and belts in the long run. You can buy the oem pulley on the internet withouth too much difficulty. If you need help let me know.
