Mustang Care - Waxing and more?
Hello all
I finally picked up my new GT this week and love it, best car I have ever driven, I am so happy with it but being in Florida the last 7 days have had loads of bugs smashed on the wind shield.
Anyway I have had a search here for a Mustang care thread but can't find anything so wonder if anyone can please give me some ideas to how they go about cleaning there mustangs with and how? I am off to the Performance Cars store in the morning to pickup some car care products and don't want to bring home any crap.
When I bought the Mustang home last week they said they Clayed it and it did look nice but I think I need to give it a wash and wax myself now.
Any tips on what Car Wash and Wax I should use?
Thank you very much

AAAGGGGHHH! Don't wax your new car!
Just wash it with soap that won't strip off the wax. If your Mustang is kept outdoors you might want to think about it after the 2nd month. Waxing requires a 3 step process- cleaner, polish and wax.
If everything is cool, there are lots of products like Meguire's Quick Detailer that will keep it looking good. Spray it on and wipe off with a microfiber towel. I use it to get the tire gel off the sides on my car as well as the occasional bird bomb.
