I am looking at replacing my FRPP GTA's and like the sound of the MBRP's..

I like the sound but wonder if they DRONE.....They look similar to the BORLA's/FRPP STINGERS and they drone so..

any comments would be greatly appreciated.

No experience myself but DEPENDING on the model, I have heard they are pretty good, Have you heard the FR500S, No drove at all from those and they are louder,deeper than the GTA

 

No haven't heard the FR500's...it is just that i can get a set of MBRP"s at a decent price
and they sound great from outside but wonder about drone in cabin.

 

Im pretty certain I've read on here before that the mbrp's dont drone. Try a search. My buddy ran a mbrp setup on his f250 and it had zero drone.

 

I have the MBRPs and can't say that they have no drone, but it's not too bad. I tried Pype Bombs after hearing that they don't drone and the drone was so unbearable I took them off after 20 miles, so I'm very sensitive to drone. That being said, the MBRPs do drone between 1500 and 2000 rpm, but it's not too bad at all. For me, they are the perfect axleback. Fairly loud when you get on it, but not much louder than stock under light throttle. Great sound overall.

 

most of drone in not in the muffler...anywho, why replace the GTAs?
