To keep it cheap I'd go with the Cali Special front end! I have the GT500 front end and I love it!! But it does cost a lot, but if your willing to shell out the extra, then go for it!

The concept is that the forward motion of the car forces air into the intake. The general consensus is that it really doesnt do much. People go back and forth, the 2 main arguments being that it doesnt affect dyno numbers and people saying you cant test this on a dyno bc the dyno doesnt move at 60 MPH.

Any bump in performance you see is from the fact that air is now being drawn from outside the engine bay where it is much cooler. The Shaker hood scoops are really cool for that. Those that claim ram air helps performance admit that it isnt much and only felt at 60+ MPH.

Bottom line- A cool visual mod, not a cost effective way to add power.

Now, people LOVE heat extracting hoods. Especially if you have an FI setup that struggles with heatsoak. any hood with a true scoop and heat extraction on it will enjoy colder IATs. If anyone has those exact numbers I would love them...

I think I'm going to go with gt500 front with the gt500kr hood. Hopefully its not to expensive. Is there some sort of vent covers u can buy for when your not driving the car?

Bro just warning you thats gonna be hella expensive. You will have to replace the entire fron end of your car. I have no personal experience but id be very surprised if you could do this for under 3k and I think you are realistically looking at 5

The shop that did my rear end quoted me at $3,200 for the GT500 conversion.
