It is a '71 Boss 351. It has the Boss 351 decals on the front fenders!

Actually you might be surprised if you put a S197 next to it. While today's Mustang looks smaller, when you put the two side by side you can see that today's car is a little wider and longer. A friend has a 1973 Mach and we compared them.

Yeah, my mistake: 351... There was an S197 302 BOSS there, also, so I suppose I got confused. Chit happens at my age...

Understood... it's a biatch getting old.. :P :P

My first chance at a Mustang was a 71 Mustang with a 429 and a 4 gear.. was on a lot for $2k and my Pop said "NO"... too bad.. only 300 or so of those made

Never owned a Big Body Stang... like the looks of the fastbacks. Can't see out the rear though..

The S197 is the bigger/longer Stang to date...
