Default cai issues!?

Im going to first start with i just got this car and the more i play with it the more i find that it done to it. So that being said im not sure the intake manifold or stuff like that is stock

I have a 2007 gt mustang,
when i bought the car it had a intake with the tube in the truck. so i threw it on and the car didnt wanna rev normal(very slow like the filter was blocked off)
So i removed it.

I just bought a full speeda intake. threw it on and its doing the same thing even worse..

Ive looked at the same ideas,. like the mass air flow sensor being backwards?

i have no idea whats going on.

also with the intake on, if u let idle long enoiught it will fall on its face and u cant give gas, idling at like 200

please help me with some ideas

Wat? So you yanked off the existing stock intake and put on the CAI, without an accompanying tune? Ya, don't wanna do this without a tune. Surprised you're not getting engine codes thrown.

Vacuum leak? MAF sensor clean? TB clean?

I've still got some lean issues with my own (pinging at high-end RPMs), but 99% of it is gone now due to picking up a JLT catch-can to replace the factory driver's side hose run. Factory piece had a crack in it.

The computer will take some time to get used to a new intake/tune however. So some surging at idle in the beginning is normal. But in your existing case, yeah, something's wrong. TB would be my initial guess.

It will have to be tuned to the specific CAI.They all flow different amounts of air.
