Starting issue 07 v6
Hey all,
The Mustang has been sitting for a little over a month now in my garage. Reason being is that I haven't had the extra $ on hand to renew my plates.
Anyway, about 2 weeks after I parked it, I went to start it and the battery was dead. My dad came over, we hooked it up to a battery booster and started it and let it run for about half an hour to charge it up. The next weekend I went to start it and it's dead again.
So I've hooked up jumper cables and turn the key here's where it gets concerning. It sounds as if the engine half turns over and then there are several loud clicks and the lights in the dash flicker and the car does not start.
I notice that my check engine light is on so I hooked my tuner up to read the DTC and it comes up with: P1000 OBD not ready for testing.
I've read through the manual and it looks as though this code should not prevent the car from starting so I think that is a seperate issue entirely.
Any ideas?

Sounds like your battery is totally finished, and the clicking is the starter relay - sounds to me, that the car doesn't get enough power, from the jumper cable - simply buy a new battery. Check engine i s probably on, because several systems dosn't get enough power. I think this should solve it
