Your ride at this point just does not like chrome imo, I would get rid of the rest or paint it black to match your theme.
Not really a big fan of the deck lid panels. If I was going to do anything I would probably have the actual trunk painted in the area that the panel would cover. I would probably never do the whole chrome look as suggested. We try to keep as much chrome off the car as possible. Just doesn't flow on the car right to me. I really want to get it painted piano black.

Or I was thinking this, as you can probably tell we do not like the plastic look on the car adding up to why we have the rocker panels and rear valance body color. I was thinking of taking the stock deck lid panel like in the picture below and painting it to match the color of the wheels? Any thoughts on this?

Does anyone have an extra V6 faux cap they are willing to sell? I cannot justify paying 149$ off ebay for one.

Sorry for posting so many times in a row. I just found this On CJponyparts, you can get it painted black from them which is what i want to do. Next mods will be blacking out the running lights or whatever you choose to call them and maybe the side emblems.

I think the cap looks cheap. I have been wanting to delete mine for some time. With my stereo, it also rattles really bad which sounds terrible inside the car.

Agree totally!
Just match the paint with the wheels and it will look nice...A good time for some custom pin-stripe on the rear as well. Imagine a superstripe turned sideways that follows the panel. Small breakup at the top and bottom with a small stripe to outline...would look hot, i would think and tie into your rockers
As for the badge, I say ditch it bro...its just seems too bulky on the new body style. Maybe go something custom there.

Mayo, do you know of any panels that delete the emblem that can be chosen with it being painted black from the supplier?

Gave the car a wash and when I went over the faux cap some more came off with the power washer so I decided to leave it there and take some more off. The upper half wouldn't come off. We have decided to get a deck lid panel that deletes the pony. We will be ordering it Wednesday.
This is the link to the one we are buying.

I have a spare used 05 to 09 GT gas cap if you want, $20 and it's yours. I bought it to do some custom painting but I fully realize that's one project I will never get to. lol
