Faux cap peeling?
#21
Sure you can bro, no problem there. I'm with Alec on this one, get rid of the faux cap and get a nice blackout panel. If I was gonna keep the cap on the back I would paint the panel around it black.
Your ride at this point just does not like chrome imo, I would get rid of the rest or paint it black to match your theme.

Or I was thinking this, as you can probably tell we do not like the plastic look on the car adding up to why we have the rocker panels and rear valance body color. I was thinking of taking the stock deck lid panel like in the picture below and painting it to match the color of the wheels? Any thoughts on this?

Sorry for posting so many times in a row. I just found this On CJponyparts, you can get it painted black from them which is what i want to do. Next mods will be blacking out the running lights or whatever you choose to call them and maybe the side emblems.

Just match the paint with the wheels and it will look nice...A good time for some custom pin-stripe on the rear as well. Imagine a superstripe turned sideways that follows the panel. Small breakup at the top and bottom with a small stripe to outline...would look hot, i would think and tie into your rockers
As for the badge, I say ditch it bro...its just seems too bulky on the new body style. Maybe go something custom there.

Gave the car a wash and when I went over the faux cap some more came off with the power washer so I decided to leave it there and take some more off. The upper half wouldn't come off. We have decided to get a deck lid panel that deletes the pony. We will be ordering it Wednesday.
