Sorry to see that bud I'd be pretty upset myself after noticing that.

The same thing happened to my 2008 GT badge on the deck lid. Pissed me off cause it happened when the car was a little more than one year old. Didn't think to take it back on warranty at the time. Must be a poor factory paint job. I wonder if some touch up paint would work, but I'm not sure what type of paint to use over chrome.

Peel that **** off. I've seen a few 05-09 guys that did that and it looks good all chrome IMO.

I vote get a replacement through Ford. I can't see them not replacing this under warranty so why spend money on a custom setup if you're not ready with a design?

This. I think the 10s+ look great with the faux-cap-delete blackout panel

After remembering that this isn't the original faux cap on the car stock. Many have suggested we put a blackout panel on the back. We actually had one on it at the time of purchase and decided to remove it. We actually did get this straight from Ford though as it is exactly what comes on the cars still.

What do you guys think of having a professional paint it all black and maybe put a gold pony on it?

Sure you can bro, no problem there. I'm with Alec on this one, get rid of the faux cap and get a nice blackout panel. If I was gonna keep the cap on the back I would paint the panel around it black.
Your ride at this point just does not like chrome imo, I would get rid of the rest or paint it black to match your theme.

+1

I have black vinyl now but once that starts to wear, I'd prolly have it painted black.
