DIY Wire Clips
So it drove me absolutely crazy that the plastic wiring clips provided to mount the positive battery terminal wire to the fuel rails were 2 different clips, so it always made that wire crooked. As shown below...

So I decided the only way to fix that problem would be making my own clips. That and I can bolt them down better than the crappy plastic ones that just clip on. So here is the process...
I bought a few t-brackets from Home Depot. A couple of bucks a piece.

Figured out the angle I wanted them, put it in my vice and got a few hits with the hammer... voila!

Now I need to make sure the angle was right on both clips, so I went slowly and measured to make sure both clips were the same.

Make sure you flatten out the tab as it will bend when hitting it.

I also wanted to make sure I rounded the corners for looks.

This is what it looks like when done.

Make sure you sand it well as it is zinc coated.

Then I applied some hi-temp paint.

All painted and clear coated and ready to go on. This is a finished side by side.

Installing them on the car.

Finished rewrapping the harness with new tape, and then zipped it down to the bracket right through the holes.

And finished.

Whatcha think? It blends in really well in my opinion, gives it a little pop, and finally makes that damn wire straight

Nice job man! Simple, yet works well and achieved what you wanted. A little extra effort got it to match the rest very nicely too. Why didn't a Ford engineer think of that?
On a side note, you could probably fit some push-in wire clips in the holes to make it look factory instead of wire ties. But, the ties are just fine for their purpose.

For now I think I am just going to rewrap all the cables with electrical tape, and see about how to get them straightened up and out of the way.
Once I do that, I will work on better dress up stuff. I found some automotive cloth wiring tape that looks really nice, I might give it a try.
