Default Exhaust question

I have a 2006 Mustang GT. I just bought the cat and it has Pypes "Pype Bombs" on it and I can't stand them. Too loud and too much drone.

I have the factory mufflers and I was thinking about putting them back on but... I have a friend that will sell me his 2008 GT/CS mufflers for cheap. My question is, do the CS mufflers sound any different then my stock mufflers?

Also, the car has a Pypes off road X pipe.

Thanks in advance!

I have the pype bombs as well. Absolutely love them. Then again, I don't have an o/r midpipe, though I think I'd love to have one

For your question, I'm pretty sure there's no difference in mufflers between the GT and GT/CS.

The GT and CS mufflers are the same. But most of your noise and drone is probably coming from that off road mid pipe.

The lack of cats is killing you. Putting on the stock mufflers will help a lot and may even sound great. Do that before spending any money.
