Default Can you safely turn Slotted and Drilled rotors?

Is it ok to turn slotted and drilled rotors? Just curious because my front Bear 14 inch rotors have a small vibration in them. Just wondering if anyone has done this and if it caused any issues?

Generally (I'm talking like 90% of the time), when there is a vibration upon application of the brakes, it is caused not by a warped rotor but by an accumulation of pad material on the rotor. The solution is to stomp the hell out of the brakes from - say - 60 or so. Or 80. Whatever. That will, er, remove the excess pad material. Try that before you go and have the rotors turned.

I think you can do slotted/drilled rotors, but some places might not want to. Ask around.

It can cause cracks apparently....I won't do it. Just go do some hard braking, may fix it...

And even if it doesn't, there are few feelings like your eyeballs attempting to escape from your sockets. It's worth it for that reason, if nothing else.
