Default Mud flaps

Hey guys,

Has anyone added mud flaps to their mustang? How well does it protect the car and how does it look?

I found the ones on American Muscle (http://search.americanmuscle.com/sea...=mustangtuning), but there are several options and they really don't say how useful they are. Plus, I find it difficult to really tell if I like them or not (if they are an eye sore).

I am getting tired of trying to repair and remove tar spots and chips from my daily driver. It is especially bad in the winter as it throws so much crap up the side of the car.

I would like to repair the areas and not have to worry about reversing the work the first time I drive it down the road.

Thanks.

I put the jaeger bros. flaps on that AM sells. Super easy install and they work great. I have had them on for a couple years now. Next to nothing gets slung up on the fenders, rockers, doors or rear quarters anymore. Not very noticeable either.

Default Mud Flaps

Hey guys,

I posted this in the appearance section, but I only received one response in a few days; which is pretty rare for this forum. So I am reposting here to see if I get more info.

Threads merged - we don't need multiple threads in different areas on the same topic.

Likely you aren't getting much response because not many people are using the guards.

I have a set on my car to protect the 1/4 panels when doing a burnout at the track. I have the pair that is form fitted to the fender and they do catch a lot.

i put these in the back.

https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...mud-flaps.html

-- be aware: they are clearly a compromise between look and function --

since they need to be modified slightly (aka drilling 1 or 2 holes into the flaps) you can adjust between look and function by positioning that hole.
also the orig hole will fit, that puts them out quite a bit = better protection.

you may find several threads by searching for "splash guards" rather than mudflaps (sounds too much like dually to many)

I have them on mine and they do a great job of keeping the car clean and no chips in the paint. Hardly noticeable. I believe AM has tons of reviews or atleast I thought they did

Mud flaps go on trucks. We have splash guards, or in my case, burnt rubber guards (for the drag strip). They work pretty well but a little rubber does manage to get by them. I ordered mine from Ford at the dealership the day I bought my car.

I have a set of GT-500 splash guards on mine. As a daily driver my SGT was starting to show small scratches from debris being kicked up. The little guards took care of that quick.
