Tuner
I am going to go with other and vote Steeda...
When you are installing Steeda parts on your cars or installing a tune, please note that we are giving you the benefit of a component part that indeed will work as advertised and will not cause a direct component failure on your car. We work very closely with Ford as well as SCT and develop our performance parts and accessories so that they perform as necessary and will not cause another component to fail. All of our parts are engineered under strict ISO 9001-2008 certificatied standards and are specifically designed to provide worry free operation. We have had 0 issues with our CAI/Tune causing warranty issues.
When you purchase from Steeda you will witness first hand the Steeda difference.
Bottom line: We stand on our past record of product excellence…..you get what you pay for!
Thank You
TJ

I'm not even going to vote on this. Too many conflict of interests haha.
I love AM and have Bama tunes. Work great. However, like most here, I've never tried a competitor's tunes. Why would you unless the ones you bought at company X cause rough operation?
I would agree that a good dyno tune would net the best results. However, I have a question... Can you change the parameters? Street tunes will give you much better fuel consumption on a DD than Race tunes. Do dyno tunes offer this?
As long as you stick with a reputable company with a strong track record such as Steeda, AM, or Brenspeed, you really can't go wrong. If you want to go with a dyno shop tune, just make sure you go with one who has tuned mustangs (specifically S197s) successfully in the past. Better yet, go to a shop that is KNOWN for being a mustang dyno shop.

Im with the other guy and brenspeed's customer service is by far the best. AM has good service to but in my experience in the dealings of customer service between the two brenspeed takes the cake. Brenspeed also offeres free tunes when u buy the part from them. I would say that am is more active on the forums but really if you have a problem with your tune you should be contacting the company that made ur tune to resolve any problems.
I am having the same delimma. I have the money for a JLT CAI and dyno tune ($815.00), but I do not drive competitively or even aggressively, and at 83k miles, I am not sure it is worth the extra money. I am ready to pull the trigger, just not sure what to aim at.
Steeda will update your tune as well as long as you purchase a Steeda product that will need the tune to be updated.
Shoeys, thanks for the support and you will love the cam idle tune. Post some clips if you get a chance and let us know how it runs with the Roush Axlebacks.
Thanks

Sorry, not looking to hi-jack the thread, but I've recently bought a K&N Intake and there was no mention of a "tune" needed. But I've have seen a difference in shifting and top end. There seems to be a lag. A tune would clear this up? And how does it work? Do I order a tuner or do I need a tuner and order a digital file that is uploaded?? Thanks for the help.
