Default Schroth 4 point seat belt installed

I've been driving street courses and finally got a proper seat belt to keep me from sliding around.
It's the Rallye 4 ASM from Schroth racing. My car is not strictly a track car so this belt is great because it's easy to remove and use the factory belt when driving around.

I did modify the Right side buckle and put a factory connector on the belt so it clicks into the factory receptacle. This eliminates the seatbelt chime and make it easy to install and remove. The left side anchors to the factory point near the door.

I did remove the rear seat in order to anchor the belt to the factory seatbelt points. The instructions say you can leave the factory belts in place and add the new belts hardware on top. This seems to work well. Of course the rear seat is unusable when the driver is wearing the belt, but who carpools on the track?!

The belt threads through the headrest and has a buckle that unclips and allows use of the rear seat and you can stow the rest of the harness behind the back seat when not at the track.
So far I've been very happy with the harness. It holds me in place and feels very secure while on the track. While I enjoy getting better at the track, I am not a hard core roll cage driver. This belt seems to be a good compromise of security and ease of install/use.

I like that, looks pretty user friendly. Any chance they make them for other cars? Particularly
cars that have a fixed headrest?

They do have a few options, you can check out the website schrothracing.com look under the TUNER section.

I made my own rear seat delete kit so that would be perfect. I can just push it through the slot between the panels...

Have you checked the angle on that rear strap? It looks to be too extreme of an angle. I'd move it up higher, possibly use the upper child seat harnes point on the rear shelf. Other than that, looks good.

(I mention this about the rear mount b/c I too made a similar mistake many years ago w/ my aftermarket belts. I bolted them to the rear seat mounting points on the floor like a moron. Tell you what, it can and will eff up your back in the event of even an emergency stop. It'll compress your spine if it's mounted too low.)

The instructions specifically say to anchor to the rear seat points and not the Child seat anchors. I agree that it seems low, I'll have to do some more research with the manufacturer. I think the Child seat points are not meant to control as much weight/force that an adult might exert on them in a crash.
