The Laguna Seca is around $48 k the regular Boss is around $ 41- $ 43k
A well optioned GT could easily run $42k or more.
Well lets see what The Boss has:
Boss 302 high performance v8
Forged pistons and rods
Runners in the box intake manifold
CNC machined high-flow ported aluminum cylinder heads
Steel backed high rpm clutch
Unique chasis tuning with manually adjustable dampers
Brembo four-piston front brakes with high performance rear brake pads
Low expansion brake hoses
Quad exhaust
High performance radiator and engine oil cooler
AdvanceTrac stability enhancement system with sport mode specifically calibrated and race track tuned.
And one more thing I think.....Oh yes The Track Key The calibrations optimizes variable cam timing, spark maps, engine braking, fuel control, throttle response and many others 600 in total to provide a total race car calibration.

IMO.. the best thing about these cars, meaning, GT500, Roush (tes Roush, Im bringing them into this fight) or a Boss is this... They are collector cars.. no doubt.. but, unless it's a one of a kind or 10 of a kind or whatever, they still fall in value over time.
Put these 2 thigns together and you get.... a barely used car with hardly any miles on it and you saved 10k - 20k in cash.
ANd I am speaking from experience here... I have the Roush window sticker for my car.. it was either 56k or 65k New in 2007 (yeah the paper is at home, and my memory sucks).. I bought it in February with 16,500 miles on it for 30k. And the car was so well maintained it looks like whoever drove it (on the rare occasion they did) wore gloves, never ate or drank anything in it, never had kids in it, never smoked in it, etc,, etc,,

Entaille.. I agree with this mindset... they are only collectors on rare occasions when theres only a handful of them. Roush makes 100's each year, Ford makes 100's of GT500's etc.. that's not collector material. What is colelctor material would be if Ford made say, (go along im making this up as I go) 10 GT500TT's. 5 were convertible, 5 were coupe.. 1 color of each and done.. never to be made again. That would be something that sists in a rich persons garage and gets seen at shows.
And while I am at it... I would be saddened by that if it were a true car. How come the ones that are made to run wild the most are the ones that get driven the least... poor cars.

Go to a an actual Boss 302 forum there have been many that went well above MSRP, especially when the first batch hit dealerships. I got mine at sticker after haggling and talking to three different dealers so if you can get one at sticker take it. The first guy I went to about a Boss 302 was at Sunset Ford in St. Louis he wanted 50k, the next was at Roberts Ford in Evansville Illinois and he wanted 48k, I finally found someone that would play ball for 43.5k (with Torsen/Recaro package) at Suntrup Ford in St. Louis, it really was a lot of leg work on my part. As far as wanting color I wanted White but with the limited make and the fact the dealer went at MSRP in August I was more than happy with Race Red/White, and I must admit it's grown on me a bit.
