Default 2012 key panic button

So my damn panic button on my key keeps getting pressed by accident. Is there a way to disable, adjust or strategically destroy the panic button?

I hate you panic button.

So much.

Ed, I like that! I thought if I wanted one I'd have to go to the dealer and drop over $100, NICE! I'm gonna bookmark that and check it out!

OP, ummm I think you just have bad luck on hitting that button xD I don't have that issue and I think our keys are the same. Check out the Flip Key, I'm gonna do so myself but here is what it looks like. (SLIGHTLY different design from the link Ed gave.) Also, search the forum for a little more insight on these keys.

on my '12, I too hate the panic button. I usually hit it at least once a week by mistake.

Andy, you hit the panic button again if it goes off xD That's how it is on every other car (Haven't hit it yet on my mustang.)
