Default Would 3M tape be my best bet?

I'm trying to put the phone mic on the front part of the visor, but since this area of the visor is so thin, the mic moves around too much. I was thinking that maybe I should put some of that 3M automotive tape on the mic clip to make it stick permanently, since I highly doubt I'll move it out of that spot. What do you guys think? Would you do the same or would you recommend that I go a different route? Here's a pic of where the mic is located so you can have an idea of what I'm talking about:

You could use some velcro sticky strips or something like that from 3m as well, that way if you do want to move it, it won't damage your visor or mic in the process. I know they make a version for walls and hanging things, but I'm betting there must be something for cloth too.

And how's that working for you? Any complaints from having it at that spot? Pros/cons?

But if I'm not mistaken, those include two strips, one with the rough part and the other with the soft part. If that's so, I'd still have to stick one onto the visor. Or am I wrong? Correct me if I am. I like the idea, but if it would still require some strong tape, i might as well just use the strong adhesive tape since I already have some at home.

I had a slightly different need. I wanted to keep a very small garage door transmitter attached to my visor, but hidden, not just clipped to the front. I attached the rough side of the velco strip to the transmitter fob. It gripped the cloth of the visor just like it would have gripped the soft part of the velcro tape. Stays there like a champ and nothing glued or tape to anything on my car. By putting a piece inside the clip it may provide the additional grip and keep you mic from moving around.

the setup works fine for me. no issues with echo or anything. I have the same set up on my truck with a different pioneer nav and that works just as well. and it's out of the way and hardly noticeable.

Thanks for the input guys! I guess I'll decide which of these two routes I choose tomorrow. Thank you!
