Most of that stuff wont work with the V8.

Cut your losses and invest in a Gt with a factory V8.
Everything that I have will work with the v8, the 8.8 rear end came from a gt, the 3650 is the transmission from the v8, the clutch, flywheel, short throw are all from a v8, suspension doesn't matter between the motors, exhaust doesn't really matter between the 6 and 8 since I have duals. It's easy for people to say just do it the simple way and trade it in, ask Mike(tx_zstang) if he would ever trade his in for a gt and I guarantee he would say no. This is my first mustang and the reason why it's a v6 I was told by my insurance company that I would pay almost $300 a month just to insure a gt, I worked my a** off to pay it off 23 months ahead of time, I spent probably near a 100 wrench hours on it and nothing about me says take the easy route; that's commitment.

So fooling your insurance company into thinking its a V6
instead of the more costly to insure GT with the V8.
Is that your goal here. Thats what I take from your post.

I'd say go for it. What's easiest doesn't always work for everyone. I've been there. I would shop for a donor car though. Makes things a ton easier when you don't have to go looking for vacuum tees or brake booster plumbing.

Keep in mind that if you ever get in a wreck your insurance company will blow up when they see the V8 and WILL NOT insure it!!!

The insurance difference from V6 to V8 is marginal at best. Good example. My 08 GT is $670 for full coverage every 6 months. The 11 V6 is $620 every six months, and the 5.0 is an astounding $250.

Age factors into insurance costs HEAVILY. I wasn't able to afford a GT while I was under 25 because of the insurance. Now, like you the difference is a few bucks every month.

Still I agree, misleading the insurance company to think it's a V6 when there's a v8 in it will get you burned. All you need is one minor fender bender that has a police report or that someone files against your insurance and the Jig is up.

From what I have read it is more of a sentimental thing not a fool the insurance company thing... Good luck with it and let us know what happens.

Out of the whole post that I made to prior to this you still tried to find something negative to give yourself something to argue about, that becomes ignorance and nothing else. If you can't control yourself from still posting something that is off topic then don't post; it's that simple, however to give your post a rebuttal. Not once did I say this is a way to lie to my insurance provider and get a v8. I was 21 with quite a few insurance points against my record, I had just wrecked my car when I fell asleep behind the wheel, and before I started looking at mustangs, I spoke with my insurance company about rates and they told me that I would have to pay about 300 a month for a gt. So I went with a v6, I still had to pay 180 a month on it, but I got my first mustang. Now my payments are down to 65 a month for full coverage with no points on my record. When I do this swap I will contact them about changing my policy and if my understanding is correct they would just replace the v8 with a v6. It's the same if you wreck a supercharged v8, they will only replace the v8 and not your supercharger. I don't like getting on this forum and having to argue with people about something so silly, but after a while it becomes the only course of action. I have a lot of respect for the people on here because I have received so much help from some of you and I'm thankful. Now is there anyone who is willing to help me with my question.

I have thought about getting a donor so many times, but I wouldn't have gotten such a good deal on the 3650 I just got and with it coming with a spec stage 3 clutch, flywheel and hurst shifter. However the people who have swapped motors have done an incredible job of listing all the parts that are needed to do the swap. So I'm sure I will have to pay a visit to the local ford dealer and order a few parts when I get close to that time.
