Ive found that wrapping electric blankies around my tires and reading my stang a bedtime story (usually a pr0n ascii themed book) when I put it to bed keeps my tires round.

Doesn't burnouts every morning take care of this?

Burnouts DO heat up the tires faster and will speed-up the time it takes to get them back in the round. I promote this method. But first, give me time to buy stock in the major tire companies...

I've read on these forums of other people with the pirellis having the same problem. When I gave it the road force balance it went away, but now about a year and half later it back but no where near as bad. Only sometimes I will notice it and I've read that with the Pirellis it's hit or miss as far as the flat spotting goes.

I live 1/2 a mile from the freeway, and I know what you mean.

I have the Pirelli P-Zeros, and my morning commute, my steering wheel will vibrate. It goes away after they get up to temp though.

Part of it could be because I have a convertible, and being less stiff than coupes, they tend to transmit more bumps to the steering wheel.

All rubber will flat spot to some degree. Some tires take longer periods of inactivity, others will flat spot more at temperatures that others won't as much. Some suspensions will transmit it more than others and some road surfaces will mask it more than others.

I disagree. I have left my car for 2 weeks in the garage end never gotten a flat spot. Hey, sometimes it rains a lot.. shhh happens. Coopers RS3's. Mine are 20's but I'd imagine the 18's are the same.
