I like the painting of the interior it turned out great for cheap... but when that seat comes loose under hard breaking or covering you will wish you spent the extra 100

This wasn't the plan for the original interior, but I just built my own rear seat delete. My seats sit far back so there really isn't any room for people in the back plus, who sits in the back of a Mustang anyways? I've my audio system mounted in the back so it doesn't look too plain. I know I'm going to start some flames here by owning Sony Xplods but listen, I got ALL of my sub equipment for $100 total, so there really wasn't a choice. Anyways, I was planning on making cardboard templates so all of it was exact but gave up on that and went ***** in and just cut until it fit. It actually turned out really good I think!

BTW about the seat being to far back, I modified the bracket so it sits closer to the steering wheel.

I'll get some more pics later

The liability you put on yourself with those seat mounts is outrageous, plus any passengers.

The seat delete isnt too bad at all! Ive debated taking my seats out and doing a full fiberglass enclosure for my Kicker stuff but I use my rear seats still so its a no go for me.

But as others said, fix the seat properly. As someone knowledgeable in engineering, the setup you have is a bad, bad idea. for many reasons.

Also, you could consider removing your entire carpet and soaking it in black RIT dye. Stuff costs like $2 but you would need a rather large bucket or something to soak it in. Id imagine that would work fairly well, in fact that would have been better for the seat covers too id bet.

That looks good. I agree with Shadow on the carpet, FYI new carpet is around $120 shipped. You have to cut it to fit in a few places, but the black is a nice deep black, even darker than factory.

And yeah fix those brackets. That would be a really stupid and sad way to go out.

Very nice interior Mineral Grey.. Thinking about two toning myself in the far future (more silver and black combo on the door panel)

Ok, here is my take on your projects:

1. Interior.....you have some guts my friend. I agree with JJP & mineral (I would have made black accents vs. doing the entire interior in one color). I am actually adding some accents to mine to break up the black...LOL. I've painted interior parts before on other cars with very little success, especially on the durability side. Here is an example:

These pics are from my 90 Camaro. The previous owner used the correct paint, sanded, & painted all parts in an effort to convert from beige to blk (I know because he is a friend & I saw him do it). As you can see, when I got the car all the pieces were flacking. The pic is when I removed all & just replaced with actual black pieces.

That beig said, great effort & I hope yours last!

2. Seat tracks........really? Is your life not worth $100 bucks???? Sorry to be harsh here, DON'T cheap out here. Aside from the HUGE safety issue, it's also highly impractical.

3. Rear Seat Delete: "Mikey likes it".....nice job.
