Default Tire Pressure Sensor Failure

I recently switched wheels on my car and ever since then there has been a "tire pressure sensor fault" notification on my dash. I was wondering if there was an easy way to get rid of the notification? Just trying to find the easiest way to do it.

When you switched out your wheels - your TPMS sensors went with the old wheels. (They are inside them!)

You can live with it constantly lighting your dash, and occasionally beeping..

Or you can go back to your old wheels and get the TPMS sensors out of them, and put them in your new wheels. (or a pipebomb, see below)

Or if that's not an option due to where the old wheels went..

You'll want to get 4 new TPMS sensors installed in your wheels, then get them synced to your car (easily done if you purchase a hand reset tool with your sensors, or take it to any ford dealership after they are installed they will likely walk out and sync them quickly for free for you).

You'll need a wheel shop to get them into your wheels. You *might* need your wheels rebalanced after the sensors are installed as well.

Or..

You can get 4 TPMS sensors, and make a TPMS Pipe Bomb. I understand these work great especially for folks changing their wheels out often (show guys do this alot I understand)

I have read you can get new sensors pretty cheap on EBAY. Worth a look see.

do the sensors come off of the wheels easily? I still have the wheels I just don't know where the sensors are.

Remove the tire.....you will see the sensor attached to the rim then.

You can reuse the sensors (if you can find them), but I think you will need new straps.
