So, for the last month or so I started noticing a loud whining when I put the car in Drive or reverse, I noticed it in my garage, and I don't hear it while driving. Only when I'm in reverse and first. It is worse at a cold start, in the video I'm about to post is after it's been driven for a few minutes.

I don't notice any problems while driving, only this sound when I shift into drive or reverse from a standstill.

Also, when I put the car into park it usually has to fall forward or backward and kind of "lock into it."

Any thoughts? I was thinking of getting my transmission flushed with a new filter. It also has 105k miles.

 

What kind of maintenance have you performed on the transmission over it's life so far?
