I have had my 2012 for around 6 months now. It just hit the 1,200 mile mark. I am going to go ahead and change it. What is $40 on a $36K car? It sure won't hurt!

Whichever way you choose, continuously check the oil level every 500 miles. Mine was burning about a quart every 1k miles for the first 10k. Seems to be quite common.
