Actually, yesterday was my second trip, but your point stands. I am getting better. I just need better tires at this point.

Captain Slow, really, all you need is seat time. My best time in my 2012 GT is 12.655 @ 112.96 with a 2.032 60' on stock street tires, Steeda 93 oct tune and the track temperature was 79 degs. I launched at 3k rpm and slipped the clutch. I let up off the throttle when I shifted from 1st - 2nd and 2nd - 3rd but I power shifted 3rd - 4th. Launching at 3k rpms worked best for me with 60' times between 2.05 and 2.03. When I tried launching at 2k rpms my 60' times were around 2.1, 2.095. Also I kept my tire pressure at 35 psi for all my runs. My slowest time was 12.8. The track temperature was 79 degs for my fastest times but when the temperature reached 85 degs I could not get my times below 12.7. Get more seat time and learn your car then get the tires. I think if you get the tires now you will still be disappointed because you don't know your car yet.
