Default Finally got my new mufflers installed!!!

After doing a lot of research, I finally got my new mufflers installed. I use this car as a daily 55 mile commuter, and wanted something that sounded better than stock, but didn't drone me to death for my commutes. For my budget, I was looking at Flowmasters and Magnaflows.

After researching, the Flowmasters were out, and the Magnaflows were in. They added some nice double-walled stainless tips as well.

First impressions is that they are just slightly louder than stock, though I was told they will get louder and deeper after a few hundred miles. The important factor was zero drone anywhere.

In fact, the typical "GT drone" at 1,200 rpms is gone, another plus!

Anyone else with Magnaflow mufflers installed on their cars, opinions on how things have been going with them?

You got it, after a slight break-in to let the sound settle a bit.

I did notice at idle, the stock mufflers sounded a little better, more burble in it.

But while on the move, giving it moderate throttle it made a sound that gave me goosebumps!

I was also skeptical of any performance gains, but I have notice a little better engine response.

I'm replacing my Magnaflows for Pype Bombs. The Magnaflows sound almost the same as stock and don't open up till like 3k rpm

I had Magnaflow muffler deletes on another stang and zero drone as well as sounded great. Great mufflers from my experience.

I am thinking magnaflows would sound amazing with my cam, blower, longtube setup. But I am too cheap to buy them. LOL

SD, we need a soundclip.
