The Big Wheels thread
I'm not much into big wheels, I like a bit of meat on the tires, so 18's are what I'm running with 285/40 in the back and 255/45 in the front...
but since this is athread about big wheels, I won't bore you with a pic of my car, instead I'll link up a donk with 30's for your viewing pleasure...

I still don't get the whole big wheel thing, sacrifice ride quality and safety for what?

Darn-it, I tried not to bore the people and a pic popped up anyway.
What "big wheel" thread would be complete without a donk? (it was funny, why else? didn't it make you laugh?)

My tone was not condemning 19s and 20's, heck you can't even get a performance package on the new cars with anything smaller than 19's, I was just saying "I" don't get it, 18's look beautiful to me, but I will admit that there are styles in 20's that I wish were available in 18's, particularly some of the shelby wheels... I've seen the saleen 7 spokes are now knocked off in 18's, if they were available when I was buying they would have been on my car instead. The safety comment was one of low profile wheels in general, where the car hits a pothole that a 40 or more aspect ration tire would shrug off, but causes the rim to dent and the tire to go flat... it has happened, but probably mostly on aspects less than 30.

Anyway, I see your donk, and I raise you donk.

you win, the donk you posted is definitely raised over the one I posted. I was temped to bring in a monster mustang... but I'll let this thread get back to the original intent (after sidetracking it slightly).

22" Concave CV3s | Shelby GT 500 Convertible
Here is a quick photoset featuring the powerful Shelby GT 500 matched with our 22" CV3 wheels. The extra size really fills out the wheel arches and we are sure this set will spark some conversation. The CV3s are in our matte graphite finish. This is a droptop that will turn heads cruising on the boulevard!
Lovely blue with black strips with matte graphite CV3s

I actually really like the GT500 with the Vossens, except the last pic. That really shows off that the wheels are just a little bit too bit, IMO.
I don't think a hard top could pull them off, but the vert does a good job of it.
