Thanks for the input guys.

Kotobuki, I found the retainer for the shift boot. Do you have any idea where to find a Hurst or Ford Racing handle? I've looked on all the popular sites and google, but all I can find are the Roush handles and Steeda.

Definitely the Hurst Or Ford Racing Shifter… (since they are identical)

Im doing a auto to manual conversion too where did you find the lower retainer for the shift boot (the rubber)
Im also looking for some other parts listed in my other post here.

Have you had any luck finding these?

Unfortunately, the Ford Racing site no longer seems to offer the handle as an accessory part. I also can't find the Hurst part number for just the stick.

You can always try calling Hurst's sales department at 707.544-4761 and telling them you have a Hurst Competition/Plus shifter, part number 391 0201 and you need the chrome shift handle and a shift ****. There's a number of options for the ****, but I like the white ball, personally.

I believe this is the stick you need. Part 7201 sounds right from when I put mine in, and it looks about right, as well.

edit: Confirming with this image handle 7201 is what you need.

That said, with that stick, any shifter with a 3/8-16 thread will work for you, Hurst or otherwise.

Thanks so much guys! This really helps me out.

Valsurfer, if you are just needing stock bushings I have a buddy who is replacing his stock shifter with an MGW soon. If he does not want the bushings I'll get with you about them. If you can't find them used you may want to hit up Tousley Ford. They have those parts for much cheaper than most local Ford dealerships.

Here is the retainer

Thanks Tanner, it was all just too much work. Unfortunately ford doesn't sell the back track unless i bought the entire assembly even through Tousley. However i must tousled definitely has the yes prices and i use it to grind down my local dealership all the time! lol and save even more on shipping that way.
I returned the Hurst for the MGW. Cant wait to see your results when your all done!
