Default Anyone cut around the rear speakers

I replaced the rear speakers with these http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136TR57...CXi.html?tp=93

These up front http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130TSA6...74R.html?tp=93

I think I want to swap them out, but that's a lot of work. I have to keep the speakers 4 notches to the back to level them out.

They sound good until I put the grey cover back on. Has anyone cut the carpet or the plastic that covers the speaker to make them clear and not muffled?

If so, pictures?

For what it's worth, on my old 98 I removed the rear deck tray, fiberglassed and painted it, and installed a component set of speakers. Thats a bunch of work though lol

The 98 turned out good. Sure I could find some sort of grill cover.
