Only on 05s, and not on all of them.. Just open your airbox, you will either see a honeycomb looking thing in there or not

I have consistently averaged 13-13.5 MPG strictly city driving. Literally 5 miles to work and back, stop and go, never faster than 45mph. Not getting on it, just driving like a regular human being. Is this right? I know the sticker will say 18mpg city but I never buy into that. Is 13 mpg right on an auto or could there be some underlying issues with the car?

Also, this thing is gutless. I sold my 00 GT, 5 spd, no mods, last year and it was much quicker. Is it me or are the autos just kinda lame? Could there be some performance issues with the car?

What are some things I could look at?

Thanks for any help. I'm almost at the point of taking it in to get a complete check or selling it and getting a GTO.

00GT05,

That doesn't sound very far off actually. I can see a bone stock 05-09 GT auto getting those mpg's. If you're interested, a Bama SF3 tuner will help you improve mpg's slightly, depending on your driving behavior. I'm not sure what you were expecting our of your GT, but firming up the shifts, adjusting the shift points for a street/city use, adjusting fuel trims, etc can easily net you a 2-3mpg increase.

I think you'll definitely enjoy the increased power/throttle response too. If you have any questions, just let me know!

Thanks, Derf00. I couldn't find a picture.

That seems right for such a short drive, especially if you let your car sit and warm up before you go to work. I only get 18mpg cruising on the highway, but I do have cams.
