It was like a leather jacket to keep those cold northern winds held back on your rides Otherwise it took weeks to get them up to operating temps.

After owning both a 2005 GT and a 2008 GT500, I can honestly say that they are 2 different vehicles....same main body basically, but drivetrain, suspension, braking, exterior body panels, interior, etc...all different.

I agree... I had an 06 GT and I can agree with what he has said. Plus the GT500 can be modded significantly fairly cheap without going to the internals. However, I do feel you can talk down the price on that 07 to about 30-31k-ish.

I've had my car next to Blacksmoke's. Drove his as well.

GT500 is NOT the same as a GT. Entirely different transmission, carbon fiber discs in the rear end, suspension, brakes, engine, exhaust, front/rear bumpers, hood, spoiler, GT500 has a front splitter, GT500 has splash gaurds, badging, upgraded interior, smaller steering wheel, instrument panel, wheels, BSmoke's has HID, I hear it has an entirely different car wiring harness as well. There's more differences but I can't think of any right now. That all adds up to why you pay more.

Two very different cars that only share a common chassis. That's it.

You'll be able to drive the GT500 more places and use it more. The Corvette is the better all out performance vehicle, but try driving it everyday and you'll want a second car.

Haha that's what I have the sig up for. I'm doing the count down.

Yeah I sat in an '07 or '08 GT500 a few months ago and fell in love with the dash. Now I have an extra dash laying around that I'll eventually have wrapped.
