Default Follow rotor or pad manufacturer recommendation for bedding brakes?

Hey all,

Quick brake question that I hope someone can answer.

Rotor maker says no hard stopping for 300-400 miles. Brake pad maker says do 10 cycles of 60-10mph at 80-90% braking in one right after the other, let brakes cool, then repeat 10 more times.

Which one do I do. Leaning towards pad makers, but any advice is appreciated.
