Curious what stereo updates 2013 owners have done...
Hi all -
As a 3-month owner of a 2013 Mustang GT,
I would be very surprised if I'm not the only one 100% disappointed
in the sound quality of the base Shaker audio system.
My favorite out of the several Mustangs I've owned is hands down the
Mach 460 sound system. I had that in both my 1996 and 2001 models.
Even so, the Shaker 500 was still very much adequate for me in my 2006 Mustang.
Not sure what Ford changed, but they totally missed the mark!
So, before I start the venture of upgrades, just curious on what
others may have already done and/or recommend.

I am working on installing the system that I had in my 2006 mustang, the hardest part is spending the $300 on the aftermarket had unit adapter. I put focal speakers in the doors and back, and I have a jl audio sub with a box I made in the trunk. The system is powered by 2 jl audio amps, one for the sub, one for the speakers. I am going to hang the amps from the rear deck on a shelf to keep them out of the way. It sounded great in the other mustang, and I hope the same in this one.
