Default Wheel studs

Sadly to say the race season is over. So the other day I pulled the skinnies and drags off. Unfortunately one of the wheel studs pulled in two. Grabbed the hammer and hammered it out.

Now before I used my own power to seat the wheel stud. Good ole elbow grease which I didnt care for. So I had purchases the Aircat 1000. This impact is a beast. It pulled that stud right down. I was very happy!! I guess it's the little things in life. I also used some PB on the stud and then cleaned it up with brake cleaner. So this winter I'm gonna change all my wheel studs. ARH I believe makes them longer so that will be another project

So if any of u are looking for a good impact I suggest the aircat

I always find it odd to hear about guys packing up because racing is over in the winter. Down here, summer is way too hot and muggy. Everyone comes out in the winter to drag race.

Yes, but our southern winters aren't the below freezing crap like up north.

Diabolical I did manage an 11.4 new PB for me anyway. Unfortunately I'm at the airport so I ant post that time slip. I'll be in Tulsa for a month. Maybe I should have driven my car there but I figured on my way back to Indiana I'd run into a bunch of stoms.

That would be nice to do it all year but we can't no worries though the winter is when I find it a good time to do these things. It's not hot and it makes for good beer drinking time with friends

I have replaced a bunch of my studs too. If your looking for a deal on 4 brand new ARP studs I have them for you. They are longer than stock. PM me for pics if interested.

Congrats on the new PB. Did the track shut you down since you dont have a rollbar and are faster than 11.49? What was your mph and sixty? Your car is hauling *** now....WOW.

I don't remember but I think my sixty was around 1.6 or 1.5. Not sure about anything else. I'll be in Tulsa for a month so I couldn't tell ya. The track never said anything. I don't know if it's bc it's just a test tune or what. Maybe the rules r different when it's test and tune.

I'd be interested in the studs but I think shipping is gonna be a lot

Dont worry about shipping, studs dont weigh anything. Now shipping brake rotors that could get pricey. I'll take a pic and pm you this week.

When you get back home I am interested in seeing your slip. Hell ova run dude. If you only did one run under 11.49 they prolly didnt notice but if you kept going that fast they would IMO. I believe its a part of their insurance coverage. NHRA rules and all, if its that kind of track.

Some tracks are more lenient. I've run a best of 11.39@120 and I've only been booted once.
