OK so i got into my car this morning and started it. I was letting it warm up and a fews seconds after starting it i let off the clutch and the car lurched forward and died. I forgot it was in first. BTW i am still parked in driveway; havent gone anywhere. So after making this retarded mistake i attempt to restart and get on with my day. only probaly is, the car wont start. I have tried resetting the fuel pump switch, i have checked fuse all to no avail. So i went to the ford place and this is what they think it is. Since the car is turning over but just wont start, the lurch that the car made when i released the clutch in first gear musta have been enough to trip the Inertia Switch on the vehicle. So i am about to go home and reset that switch. Supposedly in a wreck, if hit hard enough it will trip this little switch to shut of the fuel line for safety. Makes sense also that my neighbor said it sounded like it wasnt getting any fuel. so i am about to go reset this switch. Honestly i will just have to get a wrecker cause idk what is wrong if this dont work.

 

Have you tried disconnecting the neg battery terminal for a while?

 

Ya. I tried that. I got it started finally. I hooked it up to a trucks battery and it eventually started. Had me worried lol
