I just purchased an 06 GT premium (windveil blue, manual, ABS, interior upgrad, etc). It came with the Active anti-theft system.
the sticker listed the following Active anti-theft system $295
. interior lighted bezel
. 60 amp battery and heat shield
my question is what and where is the "interior lighted bezel"? listed on the factory sticker. The dealer added an after market alarm (Pursuit series model PRO 2032)
it comes with a red LED and switch mounted under the dash. I asked the dealer many times what the aftermarket alarm does that
the factory one doesnt? He said it has a fuel cutoff, but couldnt tell me anything else (pro 2032 manual doesnt say any thing about a fuel cutoff) after many calls to
the dealer he couldn't answer my questions and refunded the money I paid for the after market equip. I then emailed the factory (customer response center) in
Dearborn and they sent me the dictionary definition of a "bezel" and told me to ask the dealer about where it is located. SO, no help there, and I still am unable
to figure out what is factory alarm and what is aftermarket. I'm beginning to wonder if the aftermarket people removed something and put theirs in. Does anyone have
the Active anti-theft system that is just as the factory put it in?? Any info would be greatly appreciated...

I have the factory active security... NO lited anythings that I can find other then the blinking light in the dash on the alarm icon.

Thanks but I think it is different on a convertible. Mine has motion sensors in the dome light, and they DO
work. I dont know where they would be on a vert, if there at all. I'm beginning to think that the overhead
interior is the the "bezel" they are referring to. anybody out there with a system on a coupe??

I have a coupe with factory active system but I don't know what they are talking about. I just have the overhead light with the motion detector and the blinking dash light. If there is anything else, I haven't noticed it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I have the Active Antitheft as well. Can you be more specific as to what you want to know? The AAS has a hood switch, trunk switch, motion detector, fuel cutoff, gyro sensor (to detect if the vehicle is being jacked up or moved), etc.

GT Premi.... I dont know what else to say, I'm simply tring to find out what and where, for the item listed on the factory sticker, (interior lighted bezel) listed under AAS
I cant find any thing in the manual that says there is a fule cutoff with the AAS. where did you get your info?
