Personally, I'd just deal with it. Anyone that's had to take the car to the dealer knows how much of a PITA it is. MOST won't even look at it on the weekends; when we're off work, so you have to take a day off of work during the week, make the appointment and take it in. Sit and wait all day while they work on it...yada yada. It's a total waste. Now days you can't even get a loaner, they give you a rental IF you have ESP like I do, and that's ONLY if the car is going to be overnight AND that's only for 5 days max w/out approval from Big Ford.

Just squirt some 3n1 oil on the hinges and open/close it over and over.
