I really wish ford would step up to the plate and do something about all these SJB failures.

Friends,

I did go to Auto Zone and I did inspect my Car Battery and Charging system, they are working fine and they are in good condition.

So now don't know what exactly the problem is. just to remind this is not only head light issue it is all about this odd behavior of my Mustang, I think if we figure this actual problem then Headlight will be fixed automatically.

today I drove my car and it gave me same add behavior like indicators won't work, Shaker don't work and it gives me same odd errors displaying on the odometer like "Check charging System" , " Check Brake System" and some other errors.

When I went to Auto Zone that sales person did mention to me like "ECM might have to update", so not sure, what is ECM and how can I update that and where can I get it done.

Friends any suggestions?

It's the Smart Junction Box, It's on the passenger side of the interior of the car at the footwell area.

Since multiple unrelated systems are failing/acting weird, a short or corrosion in the junction box would explain the weird issues going on here. If water gets in, corrosion sets in and doesn’t allow the enough power to flow through, or while its wet the water shorts multiple components together causing all sorts of havoc. Check out the SJB and pull each fuse one at a time and check for any corrosion and/or wetness on the fuse or in the slot where the fuse plugs in. Put each fuse back where you found it before pulling the next fuse so you don’t mix up the fuses.

It would also be a good idea to check the fuses for corrosion in the fuse box under the hood.

The other alternative would be a bad power or ground for one of the computers in the vehicle, or the computer itself is bad. A bad power/ground is more likely. If the computer doesn’t get enough power, or has a bad connection to ground it will act unpredictably. Without a wiring diagram I’m not sure which computers control the effected components. However, on my wife’s ride the CTM (Central Timer Module) controls the turn signals, headlights, interior lights and a bunch of other stuff. So that might be a good place to look if the SJB checks out OK.

Good luck...

Hi Friends,
I just went and check the SJB box, I am able to see SJB box, I did try to open that SJB box but I could not do it, it is night time for us here so I thought not to take rick in the night, but tomorrow I am going to work on this.
Now I did try to open SJB and could not do it then I did put it back then I did start the car and I did turn the head lights on surprisingly I the head light is working now.
Now it’s clear that something wrong with SJB, so I think if I fix this SJB then it is going to solve all the problems.
Friends, I am very new to Cars, so I bought my car recently, I want to know what exactly this SJB will be having and what I have to do to fix this SJB? Do I have to buy any parts for this SJB or I just have to open and clean this SJB? Guys please help me on this. I greatly appreciate your help.
