Default Black JLT oil separator

I'm thinking about getting the JLT oil separator. My only dilemma, whether I want the black or satin one. I was leaning towards the satin one because I figure it would be easier to see the oil in that one, but, for those of you that have the black one, is the inside of the can also black? Since AM's satin one is out of stock and I have a discount I want to use soon, I'm just wondering if I should just get the black one.

Thanks
Murphy

I have the black one, the inside is also black and I can see oil in it fine. I'm a little disappointed with it though, there's still some blow-by after it.

The Moroso version is supposed to be better, but opinions vary.

Any separator is better than not having one. Just get it in there.

Kinda off the original subject (but I have the black one).....just changed my oil the first time with 3000 miles on car. I absolutely baby my car or just drive carefully, whatever you would call it (no rapid acceleration, speed limit etc). I figured because I drive like this the oil separator probably wouldn't be particularly effective. I was surprised when I opened it up and found it to be over half full.

I seriously doubt that it makes a big difference having it vs not having it but it certainly did what it's supposed to do

It has been ordered! There is a new shop that is big on Mustangs a mile or 2 from my house. Picking it up Tuesday or Wednesday along with my new springs.
