Default Ford factory louvers question

Are the Factory louvers just stuck on like the aftermarket ones or are they built into the window?

I'm going to be getting a 2014 with the appearance package that comes with factory louvers and I am hoping they are a better quality then just the taped on ones.

Taped on with 3m Velcro.

Even with 3M tape, they've held on just great with no issues to this day. I installed them back in the Summer of 08' I wanna say. As long as you follow the proper instructions as to how to make sure they stick on (prep, cleaning the area. etc) you should be golden

The louvers will be installed by the factory since it will be part of the appearance package. I won't have to worry about installing them myself.

jesse1125,

The factory window louvers are tapped on with 3M Velcro, similar to our AM louvers, minus the Velcro. However, I can honestly say we haven't had any issues with them coming off. And we have a TON of customers driving around with our AM window louvers.

I don't suggest it, but we even have a particular customer with a '13 GT500 who says the AM window louvers do just fine at 180+mph haha. Talk about a stability test!
