power seat issue

Default power seat issue

I have a problem with the power seat on my 09 mustang gt.. all directions work including lumbar except the rear lift and lowering, anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Most likely the motor that controls that function has failed. Ford does not sell "parts" for the seat racks as far as my experience has been.You would need an entire seat rack. You might get one from a salvage yard for complete replacement or as a parts source to repair yours.

You might check the switch function but I have not seen a bad switch.

I went to the dealer, after 4 hours they tell me they have to order a whole seat rack for $939. Yeah right. Any way to swap the motor from the passenger side power seat?

Not sure on that. Would be worth a look to see how they are mounted.
