Default LED taillight sequential harness question

I'm looking into getting some LED taillights from AM, only thing is I don't want to have to pay another 200 bucks for another sequential harness ( I've got sequentials on my stock tails). So I was thinking, If I just measure the resistance of the LED lights and compare them with the old bulbs, would I be able to wire in resistors to the original sequential harness parallel to the LEDs to bring down the resistance to match the old bulbs? It sounds as though it would work.
So, if anyones thinking about this, or have already done it, whats your input? Thanks

Yes, just put the resistor on the other side of the harness and you will only need one resistor per side

If you look real close, you will see that the raxion led conversion kit has a 50 watt/6 ohm resistor.

So would that be the wattage/ohms I would need? I have the same exact resistors for my switchback led turn signals

You know, I'm not sure how accurate a load the mustang is looking for before it goes into "fast blink" mode and thinks a bulb is burnt out. I forget what the default turn signal # of bulbs is and doesn't it usually do a fast blink when one is out and no blink when both are out? I guess what I'm getting to is that I'm not so sure, since the kit looks like a 1:1 for each bulb vs. 1 for each side. You may need half the ohms (3) if using one for each side (or 2 of the 6-ohm in parallel to make 3-ohms). But they may have sized the ohm level to be low enough to handle any situation... I guess you're back to metering the bulb resistance.

Yeah it sounds like a lot of different calculations. I'll need to do some more research. No one likes the fast blinkers!
