I liked the way it looked while it lasted. I miss the RWL tires of the past, but with the larger diameter wheels of today, there is not enough sidewall for them to look right on most tire sizes.

Years ago I had a tire lettering "pencil" that did a pretty good job of coloring the tire sidewall. Have you seen the yellow tire marking sticks that are used in tire shops for marking balance points and rim placement? It was like those. The white color would turn brownish pretty soon and I didn't feel like re-doing it all the time. The yellow color might look OK depending on the car.

Also, just doing the outline of the letter was easier and had better results than trying to color in the whole letter.

Outlining the letters might work better.

I've seen the paint markers and pencils. Never seem to last long. The yellow wouldn't look good with my car, I don't think. Redfire convertible. Tan top.

Still looking.

So they don't sell white wall tires any more?

Finished product shortly after they started chipping. This is about 50 miles of driving.

These are 235's. I plan on going to 255's when end of this year. Little fatter, little taller sidewall.

I like it. Pain to do and then clean up with a razorblade.
